The Founder rate ($9.99/month, locked in for life) is our way of rewarding early members who get us off the ground. When you become a Founder, you're committing to the library when it's new—and we're committing to honoring that price forever, no matter when you joined.
The standard Library Membership is $14.99/month and is available after the Founder period ends.
The Founder period closes in three months or when we hit our founder member target—whichever comes first. After that, the $9.99 rate goes away and new members join at $14.99/month.

We stock main line series from 2024 to present, plus a curated selection of trade paperbacks and omnibuses spanning all eras. Every new release on our shelf is available to read in Excalibur—even high-demand hot titles. We also include series and genres that don't fit our shelf inventory but make excellent library selections. Come discover what's inside.
No. Only titles and graphic novels in the Excalibur bins are available to read. However, we're open to requests—ask us about any title, and we'll work to add it to the library.
No. The reality is that the comic industry publishes very limited content specifically for young readers, so we don't have a dedicated YA section.
Our library includes the full range of what's published—which means plenty of books perfect for teens and adults, alongside content with mature themes, language, and imagery that may not be appropriate for younger readers.
Here's our philosophy: we're not the gatekeepers of what your child reads. You are.
For members under 18, we require a parental waiver that acknowledges you're choosing what your child has access to in the library and that you understand the range of content available. If you want to browse the library with your teen or guide their reading, absolutely—you're welcome in the lounge. If you prefer they explore independently, that's your call too.
Our target audience is 16+, which reflects both the content available and the independence teens have in making their own reading choices. But ultimately, parents decide what's right for their family.
If you read just 3 comics per month or 1 trade paper back it easily pays for your Library Membership. The frequency is totally up to you. In our experience, no one just reads 1-3 books in one sitting though. Once you start, you won't stop. You can read 1 day per month or 4 times per week, its totally up to you.
If you are interested in pre-ordering titles then we can order them for you. Just know that anything we order need to be paid for in advance.

Excalibur Library Members:
Guests need to purchase a day pass. It's $8.99 and gives them full access to the lounge and library for the day. No exceptions—but hey, if they love it, they can always upgrade to their own Library Membership.
Comic Subscription Members:
Your free guest pass is perfect for introducing friends to the library. But if someone becomes a regular—visiting 2+ times a month or 4+ times total—they've discovered they love it, and they should get their own membership.
Guests are for discovery. Members are for commitment. Once they know they love the space, they're ready to become a member themselves.

The ultimate vision: A full coffee lounge with actual barista service—espresso drinks, smoothies, the works. We already have the bar infrastructure and plumbing in place back there. The dream is a space where people discover comics, grab quality coffee, host community events, and just want to hang out.
